La formation FIATA a pour objectif d’outiller les industriels et professionnels du transport et de la logistique internationale, en compétences et en savoir-faire selon les standards internationaux FIATA.

LES MODULES
M1: Introduction to freight forwarding
- The student should understand the legal position of a freight forwarder, his/her functions and the general structures and processes in forwarding.
- The interrelations between trade and forwarding should be clear to him/her.
- He/she should know the different FIATA documents and the area of their application according to academic policies.
M2: Maritime Transport
- The student should be in position to give information on the basic regulations of Sea shipments, services offered and most current types of ships in use.
- He should be familiar with the documents used for sea carriage.
- He/she should be able to explain the pricing of Ocean Freight.
M3: Multimodal Transport
- Understand the concept of international multimodal transport in different aspects
- Appreciate the different types of IMT and its relationships with intervening parties covering the various scope of services provided by MTO
- Explain the various risks, responsibilities and liabilities faced by MTO
- Explain the functioning and the rules of the different types of multimodal transport, especially that of the seaborne multimodal container transport.
- Know different types of multimodal transport, especially that of the seaborne multimodal container transport.
- know different types of loading units, the necessary shipping documents and procedures in container trade.
- have an idea of freight pricing in multimodal transport, especially for containers.
M4: Air Transport
- The student should be proficient with the basic regulations for Air Transport.
- He should be able to explain the ground handling and the documentation procedures of air cargo transport.
- He also should demonstrate his familiarity with airfreight pricing with examples of calculation
M7: Inland Waterway Transport
- The student should be able to give summary information on how inland waterway transport is organised.
- He also should be able to list the most common barges and their particularities.
- He should know the documents to be used and give information on the pricing of freight shipped in barges.
- He should name the most important international navigable waterways
- The student should be aware that though Morocco possesses rivers and waters, these are non navigable and least developed for commercial transport purposes
M10: Dangerous Goods
- Trainees will be acquainted with the most important UN Regulations (Air, Sea, Road and Rail) for Dangerous Goods.
- Trainees will be able to understand the application of the regulations in practice including use and completion of the necessary documents.
- Trainees would develop a good awareness on Safety of dangerous goods haulage in the Supply Chain.
M5: Road Transport
- The participant should gain general knowledge of road freight forwarding, of the pros and cons of road transport
- He should gain an overview of the transport markets by road of the EU.
- As a forwarder the participant should have fair knowledge of the local road transportation, regional and local networks capacities, limitations, traffics ban corridors, vehicles types markets etc.
M8: Introduction to logistics
- Describe the role of the forwarder in logistics activities and define logistics systems.
- State the main steps in a logistics project.
- Get acquainted with terms such as JIT‚ ‘pull systems‘, physical distribution, supply chain, tailor made services in logistics
- Get familiar with the procedure of warehousing, types of warehouse and financial aspects of storage
M11: Information & Communication Technology in Forwarding

M13: Safety and Security

M6: Rail Transport
- The student should be competent to give information on the legal aspects of carriage by rail
- the student should be able to describe rolling stock (most important railcars) and combined traffic by rail for international and national Railway Transport
- The student should explain how to complete consignment notes and how to work with rail tariffs (for Europe).
M9: Transport Insurance
- The student should be able to give information on the different possibilities of insurance coverage and its characteristics.
- He/she should also in position to state briefly the liability of Carriers
- his knowledge should enable him to deal with simple insurance issues
M12: Customs Procedures
